Recently, LAUNCH announced it has signed a global agreement with Repairify™, Inc., a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, LLC. The agreement licenses Repairify patents to LAUNCH while also establishing Repairify as its preferred service provider.

The agreement enables LAUNCH to utilize Repairify’s global remote service centers to provide remote vehicle diagnostic through Smartlink, especial in Europe and North America in where Repairify’s sub-brand asTech has operated vehicle remote service. LAUNCH Smartlink Remote Diagnosis is able to perform auto fault diagnosis and repair without being on-site. It is not only a new auto repair model in the era of mobile Internet, but also a forward-looking technology to reduce auto maintenance costs. The Smartlink remote diagnosis supports J2534, CAN, DoIP, CANFD, etc. which covers almost all vehicles. Meanwhile, the remote diagnostic capability depends on the remote diagnostic tools which can be X-431 scanners, OE tools and any third-parity scanners.

The agreement enables Repairify to add LAUNCH’s technology, including its SmartLink remote diagnostic system, into its available product offerings. In addition, the agreement will allow Repairify to provide remote OEM and OEM-compatible diagnostic and parts programming services in even more countries.

“We’re excited to enter into this agreement with LAUNCH as it further validates the strength of our patent strategy and allows us to delight more customers around the globe,” said Cris Hollingsworth, President of Repairify Holdings. “With this agreement we are well positioned to expand remote services while continuing to innovate and lead in our additional core areas of diagnostics, calibrations, and automotive intelligence.”

LAUNCH has been in operation since 1992 with more than 800 research and development engineers on staff, enabling the company to stay at the forefront of automotive diagnostics hardware.

“In evaluating prospective technology partners, we were highly impressed with the performance and capability of LAUNCH’s products,” said Maurice Tuff, Chief Technology Officer of Repairify. “We are excited to work with a global diagnostic hardware leader as we continue to revolutionize vehicle repair for our customers.”

“We’re excited to sign the agreement with Repairify as it strengthens LAUNCH remote diagnostic service ability. Repairify has rich experience in remote diagnostic, which will enable LAUNCH Smartlink customers to enjoy convenient auto remote service globally”, said Alan Xu, Director of LAUNCH International Market. “It will bring more options to auto technicians to process complicated diagnostic issues without distance limitation. It will be a game changer in auto diagnostic industry.”
